Leafminer
Flies: International Cooperation
Request
for cooperation
Dr Ravindra Joshi from the Philippines would like to get in touch with entomologists
and other extension staff in any country globally who do research, training and
extension work related to leafminer flies (Liriomyza spp.) and its parasitoids. Dr Joshi
was part of a team who conducted an intensive study on how to counter-attack
the widespread leafminer infestation particularly in the Cordilleras region in the
Philippines. At present Dr Joshi is actively involved in leafminer management
research and training in the Philippines. He would like to exchange information with
researchers and extension staff on leafminer management. It would be appreciated
if any of you can introduce Dr Joshi to staff in your country interested in
leafminers. Dr. Joshi is a Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Agriculture – Philippine
Rice Research Institute in Muñoz, the Philippines.
He can be reached at: joshiraviph@yahoo.com
or rcjoshi@philrice.gov.ph
